Company History

Simon Colenutt established Ecological Survey and Assessment Limited (ECOSA) in 1999. We have grown successfully over the years and now have an extensive client base which includes planners, renewables sector, landscape consultants, architects, housing developers, Ministry of Defence, governmental bodies, private home owners and non-government organisations.

In January 2008 we moved from our offices in Romsey, Hampshire to a newly constructed environmentally-efficient office in Winchester. Its position close to Winchester city centre and adjacent to the main train station allows many of our employees and clients to walk, cycle or travel by train to the office.

Since our move, our team of ecologists has continued to grow steadily, further extending the breadth and depth of our expertise. The increase in personnel and a commitment to invest in state-of-the-art equipment has also enabled us to take on extensive and complex ecological projects and prove our collaborative project management skills. Our client base has also increased, notably as we continue to support the renewables sector in its growth, and housing developers, while the ecological legislative framework becomes ever stronger and more complex. Our focus on continually improving standards in our methods and in our communications has shown consistently high success rates for our loyal client base.
