


Introduction to Ecological Survey & Assessment Limited (ECOSA)
ECOSA is an ecological consultancy established in 1999 by Simon Colenutt. Since establishment ECOSA has worked on a diverse range of ecological projects and continues to successfully grow. As a result of continuing successful growth, ECOSA became a Limited company in April 2007.
ECOSA carry out all manner of protected species and habitat surveys. Our surveyors hold protected species licences for bats, great-crested newt, badger and dormouse. We carry out surveys for invertebrates, vegetation (NVC), Phase I habitat and marine species. ECOSA’s planning support includes the production of ecological impact assessments, EcoHomes/BREEAM assessments and conservation management plans.
ECOSA have been involved in a variety of projects for public sector and commercial clients. Projects range from major road schemes, housing developments, airport development, coastal defence and stabilsation schemes and the development of nature reserves, to loft conversions, pond construction and the creation of grassland and green roofs.
It is our aim to provide clear and high quality advice to public and private sector clients and to offer innovative solutions to ecological issues. ECOSA’s company management structure is straightforward and effective. The designated project manager liaises closely with the client to provide efficient, high quality services to agreed budgets and timescales.
