Vegetation Surveys

We are able to provide all formats of habitat surveys, including National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys, hedgerow surveys and invasive plant species surveys. Detailed vegetation surveys may be required where the vegetation communities on a site have been identified as being diverse and hence of ecological value. Each community present on a site is assessed, the species making up each community recorded and the distribution of habitats on a site mapped using GIS.

Vegetation surveys are seasonal and most cannot be undertaken in the winter. Survey timings should be factored into project programmes early to prevent unnecessary and costly delays due to seasonal constraints. Please call to speak to one of our ecologists about your project.
