ECOSA’s aim is to ensure that you get the best possible chance of success with your planning application within your allocated timescales and budget. We deliver timely, high quality, practical and innovative ecology solutions to ecological issues. We aim to provide the most appropriate and practical ecological advice to assist with a successful planning application.

Experience demonstrates that the earlier ecology is addressed in a project, the greater the gains you can make in terms of timescales, lower budget costs and workable ecological solutions. We provide a full ecological service to assist with planning applications, this ranges from carrying out the appropriate level of required surveys in accordance with relevant survey guidelines, resolving all ecology planning issues, as well as liaising directly with the relevant regulatory bodies (e.g. Natural England and County Ecologists). We also provide the ecological input for EIA’s and for the ecological planning of larger projects. All of our key ecologists are professionally trained and have membership of IEEM, our professional industry body. You will always receive a dedicated project manager to assist with your ecological needs.

We have expertise in project managing large teams of field surveyors for infrastructure and major developments and should mitigation works, such as habitat management and creation, be required, we have a dedicated habitat management team that provide an effective and reliable range of services. Both surveys and mitigation works need to be scheduled appropriate to the species in question. Please refer to our survey timetable for further details.
