Marine

ECOSA carry out inter-tidal marine surveys in accordance with Marine Nature Conservation Review (MNCR) guidelines.

The MNCR survey methods are aimed at supplying information to inform the identification of conservation importance of marine sites. The survey methods involve systematically and consistently characterising the habitats present and the abundance of species.

ECOSA believe that accurate marine survey data is of upmost importance as this data enables comparisons between sites to be made and provides a comprehensive baseline for which to assess potential impacts and to devise appropriate mitigation strategies.
