Ecological Impact Assessment Guidelines

Ecological Survey and Assessment (ECOSA) follow Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) guidelines developed by the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM)

These guidelines promote good practice for the EcIA assessment of terrestrial, freshwater and coastal habitats (to the mean low water mark) in the United Kingdom.

ECOSA Services

ECOSA produce EcIA chapters for formal environmental impact assessments (EIA) or to support other environmental assessments or appraisals. Services provided include the preparation of scoping reports and consultation, the collection and analysis of baseline ecological data, assessment of impact significance, the design and implementation of innovative and appropriate mitigation measures, and design of future monitoring requirements.
